"Let the beauty of what you love be what you do".

Hi, my name is Atousa. I am a jewelry designer-maker, a high-school teacher, an artist, and a passionate traveler in a journey of spiritual adventure filled with passion. My story into jewelery making started in the early 2018 by simply wanting to make a mala necklace and mala bracelet for myself. I have always been interested in malas. They were also popular as the fashion accessory by the time, but to me, it was more than just a necklace. The plan was never to have a business, it was actually not something I reflected on. It just happened.

I started to take my first classes in jewelery making, and at the same time sharing my handmade products in a free business profile on Instagram. At first it was a hobby to rest my mind while preparing for my masters thesis in History of Religion, but after three fulltime courses on silversmithing and goldsmithing, and receiving my HND diploma, I strongly believed that I had to pursue my dreams and my passion and turned my life upside down. Now jewelry-making is my way of expressing my creativity, and my art, as well as sharing my passion. It feels like the time stops when I am busy creating something that genuinely excites me. As Rumi says: "when you do things from your soul, you feel a river of joy within you". To shorten a long story, it all ended to the emergence of Gemjewlry: Atousa's art, my handmade jewelery studio. People started to see my work and wanted them, and Gemjewlry was born. "It's a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together", and I am so grateful for all the support I have taken from my husband, my friends, and my family.

As an artist, I love to draw my projects before I start production since drawing is my other enthusiasm. I do my creations alongside my career, while spending time with my family and my husband. I also meditate and do yoga on a daily basis as well as adding weights to my practice on my mat. It makes me do my yoga practice even better.

Being a jewelry designer, I love what I do, and I spend a lot of time creating and designing because I am passionate about what I do. Every piece I make has a different story, as it takes each piece a long process from a silver round shot casting grain to a necklace, for instance, or a piece of mineral crystal from a corner of the world to a jewelry or other adornments in you hand. I make high quality art jewelry with silver, gold, and gemstones, and I get inspired by nature, different cultures, different places, different beliefs, books, poetry, and much more. All my handcrafted artworks incorporate a symbolic and meaningful message interwoven throughout the whole piece as they are designed to appeal to different tastes, yet they are created for the same purpose: to promote wellness and healing.

Please don't hesitate to contact me, if you have a question, want to work together or just feel the urge to drop me a line. It will always be welcome.

With love,
